They say that when something is meant to be, it will be and that the Lord works in mysterious ways. It is indeed rare to hear such a story of a young man (Justin Bieber) from humble beginnings rising to the top of the pop music world to acclaim and fortune.

The Biebs was a child who had innate talent; he sang and taught himself to play piano, drums, and guitar. At the tender age of fourteen, he entered a local talent show and took second place. His mom put some videos of him up on YouTube for family and friends to enjoy. The videos became increasingly popular and one day a media executive happened across them.

The executive found Justin and his mom, and convinced them to allow Justin to go to Atlanta, Georgia to record some demos. Consequently, Justin met R&B star Usher, was signed to Island records, and the work began.

His debut single released, as they were still finishing his album “One Time”, and reached top ten in Canada and top thirty in several other markets. The success was stunning. His debut album, “My World”, went Platinum in the US. He was the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album all rank on Billboard’s “Hot 100”.

The hits kept coming; “Baby” made top ten and was the most viewed YouTube video.  He followed the first CD with others and a tour. “My World 2.0” was his sophomore album with success equal to his first. It debuted at number one on the charts and made top ten in several countries.  It went Platinum in the US.

At the 2010 American Music Awards Justin Bieber won Artist of the Year, and was nominated for “Best New Artist” and “Best Pop Vocal” at the 53rd Grammy Awards!

Not bad for a young Canadian boy raised by a hard working single mom in a low income housing area. His mom is a devout Christian and raised him the same way. His words to his fans at the Teen Choice Awards were, “remember to keep GOD first and family first!” At the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles, he reminded his fans that “Jesus loves every one of you.”  His interview in Rolling Stone magazine is full of questions to him about his faith. He asserts his conservative beliefs on several issues and shows he has a solid head on his shoulders. He’s more mature than one may expect for his age and stands by his beliefs, proudly stating, “Jesus is the reason I am here.”
