BIG NIGHT FOR THE BAND PERRY AT THE 45th ANNUAL CMA AWARDS

FAMILY BAND SHARES THREE ACCOLADES EQUALLY

(Nashville, TN – November 10, 2011) – The Band Perry, who just celebrated the first anniversary of their debut album, was named New Artist of the Year by the Country Music Association last night at the 45th Annual CMA Awards.

The honor was one of three that went to the Perry household – in addition to New Artist of the Year, The Band Perry took home Single of the Year for “If I Die Young,” while big sister Kimberly Perry earned the coveted Song of the Year award for “If I Die Young.”

“Growing up, we watched the CMA Awards every year, so to think that we now have our own awards to put on our mantel is surreal! We are grateful to be recognized in this way and we promise to continue to keep working hard to deliver our best,” said Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry.

“Wow! What an incredible night for The Band Perry – to not only receive these three CMA Awards but to have delivered such a powerful performance during the show. This could not happen to three nicer people. Everyone at Republic Nashville is so proud and excited for Kimberly, Neil and Reid’s amazing accomplishments,” said Jimmy Harnen, Republic Nashville President.

Also last night, the band performed their latest hit, “All Your Life,” with a warmly-lit, Vaudeville-themed set that referenced the song’s music video, which features TBP as a traveling troupe of performers. It was a case of art imitating life for the family that has been touring partners and collaborators together for the past thirteen years.

The self-titled debut album, THE BAND PERRY was released in October 2010 by Republic Nashville – the album was certified Gold just four months later and is poised to go Platinum by the end of 2011.

The Band Perry is the 2011 CMA New Artist of the Year – they earned the honor on 11/9 at the annual award show where they also won CMA Awards for Single of the Year and Kimberly Perry earned the Song of the Year award. They are also up for three 2011 AMAs, including Favorite Country Band, Duo or Group; Favorite Country Album and New Country Artist of the Year as well as an overwhelming six nominations for the ACA Awards in December. TBP has also been nominated for Grammy, CMA, TEEN CHOICE and ACA awards.

In August 2011, Washington Post pop music critic, Chris Richards referred to The Band Perry as “the best new band in Country” as they toured with Tim McGraw. Currently, TBP is on the road with Reba. As they continue to perform their own headlining dates, they look forward to joining Brad Paisley on his “Camobunga! 2012 World Tour” in January.
